Overview

Gummi-Jaeger Aeration LLC (Jaeger-Aeration) of Longmont, Colorado designs and manufactures fine-bubble membrane diffusers and the retrievable rack, lagoon and process-control systems built around them. The company is the US arm of the German Jaeger family business that introduced the membrane air diffuser disc in 1973, followed by the tube diffuser in 1980, silicone membranes in 1990, the OxyStrip strip diffuser and OxyLift retrievable rack in 2005 and the OxyProcess control scheme in 2006. It states that it has produced membranes, assemblies and components in Colorado since 1994, originally as an OEM supplier to other aeration companies, with membranes offered in EPDM, silicone and polyurethane.

Its current line covers OxyDisc 9-inch disc, OxyTube 1 m and 2 m tube and OxyStrip 2 m strip diffusers for fixed-grid or retrievable installation, the OxyLift bridge- or wall-mounted retrievable rack, the OxyPod lagoon aerator, the BioCube fixed-film module and the OxyProcess DO and ORP driven aeration control package. Jaeger-Aeration cites municipal references in Missouri, Kansas, Illinois and Colorado.

Retrievable Rack System for Any Basin Shape

Bridge- or wall-mounted retrievable rack that lifts OxyStrip or OxyTube diffusers out of a live basin in about 2 minutes, so operators service diffusers without draining the tank. One rack replaces 162 9-inch discs and fits rectangular, round, toroidal and square basins.

OxyStrip

Two-Meter Strip Diffuser, 8:1 Turndown

Two-meter fine-bubble strip membrane diffuser in EPDM, silicone or polyurethane, rated 2.5 to 22.0 SCFM per strip at 8:1 turndown. One strip equals nine 9-inch discs, so lateral pipe and couplings drop by up to 90 percent in fixed-grid or retrievable layouts.

OxyDisc

9-Inch Disc Diffuser, Grid or Prepackaged

Fine-bubble 9-inch membrane disc diffuser in EPDM or silicone for traditional fixed-grid layouts, or supplied as factory pre-assembled, tested and certified prepackaged grid sections that install faster. Fixed grid only, with a continual automatic condensation purge.

OxyPod

Fine-Bubble Lagoon Aeration and Mixing

Self-contained fine-bubble diffuser rack for lagoons, deployed on floating pontoons for variable water levels or as a self-weighted drop-in retrievable unit. Each pod covers an area of influence up to 50 ft at 5 to 30 ft depth for BOD oxidation, nitrification and mixing.
